                                                                 ECOLOGICAL TRACES of LOWER SILESIA
                                                                           Polish-French Youth Exchange

The exchange between Polish and French youth titled “Ecological traces of Lower Silesia” took place in Wrocław between 12th and 19th of May 2008. 

The theme of the project was related to widely defined ecological issues. 
Because ecological matters are lately very popular and its scope broad, we wanted to structure our knowledge related to it. We analyzed it from 3 dimensions: 
- personal, which encouraged to reflect about the value of Nature for each individual citizen of the Earth, related to the 3rd generation of Human Rights; 
- local - related to the living space; 
- and global which showed relationship between all countries and the common global ecological problems, and encouraged our reflection about responsibility for our natural environment. 

Our goal was to reflect about common for our countries ecological problems and to exchange experiences about our local communities related to ecology. The youth exchange also aimed at activating young people to take proactive role in solving local ecological problems. 
A workshop about global education and sustainable development as well as outdoor games with the objective to gather information about ecological problems of Wrocław, were a very important elements of the program and methodology prepared for the exchange. Meetings with representatives of ecological organizations were used to better understand ecological problems.
